Meet Chef Rocco

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Chef Rocco Taliani moved to Tampa, Florida at a young age. He started working in restaurants at the young age of fifteen- taking his first job as a dishwasher in a small family-owned Italian Restaurant. He knew the kitchen was where he wanted to be from that point on. Luckily, it didn’t take very long before he was promoted onto the line.

After many years moving up the chain in the restaurant world, he got the amazing opportunity to lead the kitchen of a new and growing Tampa Bay catering company as their Executive Chef. Bringing in his talent and passion for good food, they quickly grew their operation to one of the largest catering companies in the Bay Area. This part of his career was something he was— and still is— very proud of. Ready for his next challenge, Chef Rocco decided to finally venture off to start his own business as a private chef and caterer. In 2020, Chef Rocco was approached to partner and design the menu for a Nashville Hot Chicken concept, LoveBird Almost Famous Chicken. This was an exciting opportunity for Chef Rocco to be a part of as he created delicious scratch-made recipes with a southern flare.

Chef Rocco has been fortunate enough to share his love of food with his amazing clients over the last 17 years of his career and is now excited to serve the Tampa Bay area at The Mustard Seed Deli & Market.
